AMERICAN FORK — Northbound I-15 near American Fork recently reopened after a coal spill significantly slowed traffic Wednesday morning.
The coal spilled from a truck near Pioneer Crossing about 8:45 a.m. Officials closed the right lanes of the freeway while traffic inched by using the carpool lane, according to the KSL Traffic Center.
Officials slowly opened up a few of the left lanes, and the entire freeway was reopened by 10:30 a.m.
The cause of the crash and any injuries are still unknown.
