The Pole Creek Fire burned an additional 52 acres from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning and is at 56 percent containment. The blaze has scorched a total of 101,895 acres since lightning sparked the flames Sept. 6. A total of 1,005 personnel are assigned to fight the fire.
The Bald Mountain Fire grew just 5 acres overnight and is 71 percent contained. The flames have consumed a total of 18,605 acres, and 505 total personnel are assigned to the fire.
The Pack Fire began Tuesday just west of the Bald Mountain Fire near Mount Nebo. Officials believe lightning sparked the blaze. The flames have only burned 2 to 5 acres.
Though many residents who were evacuated from their homes during the fire's peak have returned, some in the area still remain displaced.
