(KSL News) One person is dead, another in critical condition after a head-on collision.

The accident between the Jeep Cherokee and Ford Ranger happened on S.R. 89 at milepost 303 in the city of Birdseye.

A Jeep Cherokee and a Ford Ranger were involved in the head-on collision. The driver of the Ranger, Destry Miller, 23, died at the scene. Peter Grayson, 24, the driver of the Jeep, was transported by air to Utah Valley Medical Center in critical condition.

The road was closed in both directions for about two hours. The survivor was flown to the Utah Valley Medical Center.
