SALT LAKE CITY — Police arrested one person in connection with a stabbing incident that left a 53-year-old man hospitalized in critical condition Monday
He was found stabbed in the neck and back inside his apartment.
Salt Lake police received a call from an unknown person about 4:20 a.m. reporting a robbery with a knife at an apartment, 204 W. 200 North. When officers arrived, they found the victim with multiple stab wounds. He was being helped by a neighbor.
Salt Lake police sent out information about two persons of interest in the case, asking for the public's help locating them. One of the men was located and interviewed Monday evening.
As of late Monday, police were still seeking to question the other person of interest — a white, 5-foot-7 tall man who goes by "Bud." The man is believed to be 32 years old, with a thin build and has a goatee that is either red or brown.
Later Monday, police said they had arrested one person in the case but did not say if it was either of the persons of interest. More details were expected Tuesday.
The victim's name was not released Monday.
