(KSL News) Lightning is being blamed for a fire in Box Elder County.

The blaze broke out just before 10 last night on the mountains above Perry. Several fire agencies responded to put out the flames, which came within about 300 yards of homes.

Art Petersen, Chief of the Brigham City volunteer fire department, said, "Mother Nature cooperated, and we were able to get a handle on it real quick and got things under control."

Luckily, no one was injured and no structures were damaged. Fire crews were able to fully contain the blaze early this morning.
