(KSL News) When it comes to helping others, Utah takes the cake for the third year in a row.

The Volunteering in America 2008 survey found Utahns volunteer in droves, and when they do, they donate more time than anyone else in the country.

Some 792,000 volunteers, or nearly 44 percent of the state, donate their time. Between 2005 and 2007, that averaged out to 146.9 million hours.
