(KSL News) Five Utah State University football players face drug charges, just two weeks before practice begins.

Kendall Fisher, Steven Downs, Marcus Cross, Brennan Mc-Fadden and Ryan Tonnemacher received citations for possession of marijuana.

Someone tipped off police after smelling marijuana coming from an apartment where the players were staying.

The players face a up to six months in jail.

Coach Brent Guy is promising disciplinary action against the players.
