(KSL News) A group of state legislators have petitioned Gov. Huntsman to delay the split of the Jordan School District.

They want the governor to call a special session to deal with the bitter split. The east side of the state's largest district voted to separate from the west side.

Both sides are now headed to arbitration because they can't agree on how to fairly divide assets.
