PROVO CANYON — Police identified the body of a woman found at the base of Bridal Veil Falls on Tuesday.
The body of Camille Stepan, 39, was found by another visitor to the falls at about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office. Her identity was released by investigators Wednesday.
Stepan, who was from North Salt Lake, had “serious trauma consistent with a fall from significant height,” according to the sheriff’s office. The incident is still under investigation and her body was transported to the Utah State Office of Medical Examiner in Salt Lake City.
Those who may have seen or spoken with Stepan can call the Utah County Sheriff’s Office at 801-851-4010. Investigators described her as a Caucasian woman and said she was wearing a white jacket and white leggings at the time of her death.
