(KSL News) A truck went off the road in Draper this afternoon and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
The driver says he lost his brakes and rather than continue on, he found a spot to slow himself down.
He hit a fire hydrant, spilling thousands of gallons of water, but it all flowed off the road and down into a ravine.
The driver was not hurt.ยค.
This is the same area where UHP conducted a sting on Tuesday. More than half the trucks inspected had violations serious enough to take them off the road.
