MAGNA — Vandals caused several thousand dollars worth of damage to The Lady of Lourdes Church Saturday night.

Unified police said several items were broken and fire extinguishers were sprayed throughout most of the building.

"Basically the suspects went in and just began damaging all the property inside the church, knocking over statues and breaking them," said Lt. Justin Hoyal of the Unified Police Department.

Police said they recovered a few pieces of key evidence but have not made any arrests in connection with the vandals.

Police are asking for the public's help in the case. If you have any information regarding the vandalism at The Lady of Lourdes Church call 385-468-9488.
