SALT LAKE CITY — Two people were killed Monday in a reported shooting in Salt Lake City.

The shooting took place near 225 Eisenhower Way (1658 West) in Salt Lake City where the body of a man was found lying in the street.

A second person was found dead in a parked car in a driveway a few feet away. The circumstances around the shooting of the second person is unknown at this time.

"I heard like four or five shots," said 12-year-old neighbor Abraham Gucin. "It kind of sounded like firecrackers or something like that."

Investigators are not currently looking for anyone associated in the shootings.

"The detectives believe that they're getting close to figuring out exactly what happened," said Det. Rick Wall with the Salt Lake City Police Dept. "But at this point there is no danger to the community or to the neighborhood and there are no outstanding suspects."

Investigators believe one of the victims lives in the neighborhood. Police escorted two children from the scene.
