SALT LAKE CITY — Alex Vidinhar, 10, was outgoing and loved to sing and meet new people.
His younger brother, 4-year-old Benjie, was more quiet, but opened up at home where he sang and danced along to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, his family wrote in an obituary for the two boys.
The two young brothers were killed in their West Point home May 22 — allegedly at the hands of their 15-year-old brother.
"While only in this world a relatively short time, they both touched the lives of many and will be missed greatly," the obituary states.
The boys had been left in the care of their older brother the night of their deaths. He has since been arrested for investigation of murder and is being held in the Farmington Bay Youth Detention Center.
Davis County Attorney Troy Rawlings said Friday that his office will make a decision about filing charges once they have the opportunity to receive and review all of the evidence they need.
"To date, while preliminary matters have been discussed and initial information has been provided by law enforcement, the formal submission of evidence required to screen this case has not happened because the investigation is not complete," Rawlings said in a prepared statement.
He reiterated that the teen suspected in the deaths will remain in custody while the investigation continues.

"The more important thing ... is making sure they have the evidence and information they need to make an informed decision."
The family said Benjie liked to play with tractors, trucks and cars. Alex was "happy and friendly" at school and enjoyed riding his bike and running with his family.
Their funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 1770 E. 6200 South in Ogden. Friends are invited to meet with the family Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lindquist Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd in Ogden.
Attendees to the funeral have been invited to dress comfortably and to wear children-themed T-shirts if desired. Those wishing to donate to the family can do so at America First Credit Union under the Vidinhar Family charitable account, the obituary states.
Police say both boys suffered knife wounds and two knives believed to have been used in the killings were recovered from the family's West Point home.
The boys' father has said he does not want his teenage son tried as an adult or to face a potential sentence of life in prison without parole. He said the family "never imagined something like this could happen," and believes emotional or mental health issues may have played a role in the tragic incident.
