(KSL News) A man is in custody this morning after a standoff with SWAT teams.

Officers say David Miller was fighting with his girlfriend's daughter yesterday afternoon when a neighbor boy tried to intervene. Witnesses say Miller pulled out a knife and threatened the boy, then threatened other neighbors who tried to help.

He ran into the house near 600 North and 800 West, and neighbors called police.

Miller refused to come out for more than six hours before surrendering to police.

A 73-year-old woman was inside the home during the standoff and was not threatened.
