WEST JORDAN — Police said Tuesday they're following up on 95 tips they received in the investigation of a 6-year-old girl found dead near her West Jordan home.
Sierra Newbold's body was found in a canal near her home on June 25. West Jordan police say she was sexually assaulted and murdered.
Investigators said finding who is responsible for Sierra's death is their top priority.
Meanwhile, the residents of West Jordan are coming together for a huge charity event Saturday morning. It starts at 8 a.m. at 4800 W. 6700 South.
The event will include a yard sale, a bake sale, and a raffle. All the proceeds will go to Sierra's family.
