SALT LAKE CITY — Do you have too many pins on Pinterest and not enough time to try them all? Don't worry — the Page Two editors of ksl.com will try them out and give you the low-down. This week we've gathered five great lists with a fantastic array of tips and tricks for getting your act together.

17 ways to make organizing fun

Some people were born to organize. Others are lucky if their piles of junk don’t eat them alive. For those somewhere in the middle, the editors at Better Homes and Gardens have put together this list of “17 ways to make organizing fun!” (Yep, they went for it and added the exclamation point, showing you they really mean that “fun” part.) Admittedly I’m already on board with this concept because I’m a sucker for a decorative basket and coordinated labels. However, this list lives up to its billing. Each photo in this pictorial is bright, cheerful and loaded with personality. I dare you to find at least one idea you wouldn’t be excited to implement in your own home.

The folks at BHG just keep the gems coming. This photo essay of organized recycling ideas doesn’t just focus on easy little ways to go green, it helps you streamline your efforts in 16 different ways. My favorite: “Convert a plastic cereal dispenser into a trash receptacle for your car.” Simple, effective and cheap. Therefore, it’s genius.

20 ways to make life as a mom easier

The supermommies at welovebeingmoms.blogspot.com offer a straightforward list that’s as effective as it is varied. The list items are deceptively simple, and yet when you’re in the trenches of motherhood you often need these not-so-subtle reminders that getting all your ducks in a row just might save your sanity.

11 ways to organize on the back of a door

From pantries to closets to bathroom vanities, this post from organizingmadefun.blogs pot.com shares 11 ideas for turning an often unused space — the back of a door — into prime real estate. I was particularly inspired by the pantry doors, though all of them made me want to make an Ikea run to snap up some hooks and hanging baskets and get right to work.

How I organized my entire life

The picture with this pin shows a stylishly organized mud room with this promising phrase: “How I organized my entire life.” The link takes you to a blog post that continues in that inspiring vein, listing all the ways the author reclaimed her life and came up with “a plan, a routine or a system for everything.” And then, she says, she woke up. But far from leaving readers in the lurch, the post serves as an introduction to “Project Organize your ENTIRE Life,” a week-by-week collaborative project that gives detailed plans for things like decluttering, meal planning and creating a schedule. You can start with No. 1 and work your way up, or jump in wherever you need help. The project is ongoing, so stay tuned for more.
