SALT LAKE CITY — Utah non-farm wage and salaried job employment expanded by 2.3 percent in March compared to March of last year, adding 27,400 jobs, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.
The state had greater growth than the national average of 1.5 percent.
Utah's unemployment rate in March was 5.8 percent compared to 7.1 percent in March of 2011. The national unemployment rate is 8.1 percent.
