PROVO -- A Provo jewelry store is open again for business, after it was robbed of hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewels at gunpoint in November.

Losee Jewelers is open, but missed out on the beginning of the holiday shopping season. While there is plenty of brand new merchandise now, emotions are still running high after two robbers took employees hostage, in a very violent robbery.

"In this case, we have more of our simplistic bread and butter pieces," said employee Mardo Kiladjian.

He once again has a full stock of jewelry inside of the Provo store, but it hasn't come easy. He has been working around the clock, documenting what was stolen and working with insurance adjustors.

"It's a lot of stress, still recovering, sleep, it's been tough."

Two weeks ago tonight, two men held Kiladjian, his father and a employee at gunpoint and cleaned out all of the display cases, getting away with hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry.

The victims have helped create composite sketches of the robbers as they deal with the emotional distress of having their lives threatened.

"This traumatic event has taken a toll," Kiladjian said. "I mean words really can't describe what I am feeling. I'm at a loss of words, let's just put it at that. It's just going to take some time for me to recover, all of us to recover."

Even though his family has owned the store for less than two years, Kiladjian says loyal customers are showing their support, especially during December, which is a busy time in the jewelry business.

"A lot of sympathy, a lot of support, which is a really great thing. I do appreciate everyone's concern," he said.

Losee is now making plans for several security improvements, while trying not to be discouraged from doing business in Provo.

"All I can say is nowhere is safe. It can happen anywhere," he said. "I just got to move on, we all got to move on and hope for a better future.

Provo Police tell us they are still following several leads in the case, but so far they have no suspects. Anyone with information on the robbers is asked to contact Provo detectives.
