(Deseret Morning News) -- Emery County prosecutors have charged a female junior high school teacher with forcible sexual abuse.

Officers say Brandy Yates taught at San Rafael Junior High School, where she met the 15 year old boy who was the victim.

Prosecutors say the contact took place OFF school grounds. They say Yates is co-operating with the investigation.

The school district has fired her.
