Tom Callan, KSL Newsradio From Midvale to Salt Lake, police tracked and arrested a suspect in a bank robbery.
After allegedly robbing the Zions Bank on Center St. in Midvale, the suspect's get away car, borrowed from a friend, was traced back to the friend's house in a leafy cul-de-sac in Rose Park.
"Witnesses indicate that he had a gun, and at the time of the robbery displayed and showed the gun. And we were able to recover the gun during our investigation, so far, here at the residence," said Midvale Police Sgt. Marcelo Rapela.
Rapela says the suspect, identified as 22 or 23-year-old Matt Hill, ran on foot when the FBI and police showed up, but, with canines and choppers, they tracked him down in 45 minutes.
