SALT LAKE CITY -- "Cars 2" premiered over the weekend and kept Pixar
Not counting their latest effort, Pixar has made 11 films. Those films carry an average rating of 95 percent on Rottentomates.com. Not too shabby. The highest rated is "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" both of which are at a 100 percent. That means every single review of the film was positive. The lowest score out of those 11 films was "Cars" at 74 percent, which is still a great number. "Cars 2" however, has been panned by critics. It received a surprisingly low score of 33 percent.

Critics have said the film has, "a confusing plot and poorly defined characters" and saying, "It's finally happened. Pixar's mythical run of great films is over."
Not every critic disliked the film. KSL NewsRadio's Doug Wright wrote, "This is not my favorite franchise of the Disney/Pixar efforts, but "Cars 2" is thoroughly entertaining with great visuals that cleverly capture cultural differences and weaves them into the adventures of our friends from Radiator Springs."
Matt Brunson The Clog called the film, "The new runt of the Pixar litter. But so what? If the Pixar gurus occasionally want to kick up their heels and make movies that offer only surface pleasures, then so be it. The only requirement should be that they entertain, which this certainly does."
So how is the film? For those of you who have seen it, what did you think? Is it really that weak? Or did Pixar just raise the bar so high that even they couldn't leap over it every time? Is it a lot of fun and just as good as their other flicks and critics just had it out for the sequel?
Let us know, because there are many just like me who haven't seen it and want to know if it's really worth our time. Tell us your opinion on the comment boards and on Facebook.
