(KSL News) An 18-year-old Roosevelt man is charged with sexually abusing an elderly woman at a care center in Vernal.
Investigators say Matthew Lawson fondled a 76-year-old woman at the Uintah Care Center.
Lawson says he wasn't abusing the woman for sexual gratification but was attempting to determine if the woman had breast implants.
Two nurses were fired for not reporting the abuse in a timely manner, but one says she reported it to a supervisor within minutes of witnessing it.
