SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah state flag will "fly right" from now on.
Historians helped fix an 89-year-old mistake, and Wednesday Gov. Gary Herbert signed the resolution that will bring the year "1847" back inside the image of the shield, instead of below it.
Flag manufactures had made that error since 1922.
Utah's new flag will also made changes to the Beehive and the American eagle.
