(KSL News) Now that Christmas is officially over, it's time to think about taking down that tree before it becomes a fire hazard.
Street crews in many Utah cities will be collecting real trees only at the curb on regularly scheduled garbage collection days, starting today.
But, different cities offer ways to recycle that tree. Here are a few reminders for recycling your tree.
- Don't put out trees that are flocked or in plastic bags.
- Remove all light cords, decorations and twine.
- Don't put trees in the garbage can. For specific information about your city's pick up schedule or drop off locations call 974-6902.
