(KSL News) Fire restrictions are in place statewide.

Several wildfires are burning in Utah right now.

The Rabbit Creek Fire in the extreme northeast corner of the state started this week. It has charred more than 560 acres of sage and grass.

Fires Burning Across the State

This evening, firefighters almost have control of the fire burning near the mouth of Provo Canyon.

Elsewhere in Utah County, 6,000 acres near Mercer Canyon are blackened. After fighting this fire for nearly one week, fire bosses are optimistic it'll be contained soon.

Most of the fires are human-caused.
