Last month, West Valley City police say he robbed the Chase Bank on Redwood Road. A teller dropped a dye pack into Friedman's bag of cash; it exploded in the parking lot and he ran off.
Authorities say Friedman had just been released from federal prison on bank robbery charges when he hit the West Valley bank last month.
