(KSL News) An SUV slammed into a pole in the middle of the night.
Just after 2 am, the SUV was heading west on 33rd South in South Salt Lake.
For some reason the car left the road and hit a lightpole.
The driver was pinned inside. Emergency crews had to extricate him.
He was flown to the University of Utah Medical Center in critical condition.
