CENTERVILLE -- A Centerville drama teacher is in jail accused of sexually abusing one of his students.

Legacy Prep Academy drama teacher James Stokes, 61, is accused of inappropriately touching a 15-year-old student.

Centerville police Sgt. Von Steenblik says stokes had an unusual infatuation with this student.

"When the incident occurred, it was after school in the evening, and they were practicing preparing for an upcoming play that they were getting ready for," Steenblik said.

Police learned about the incident from Child Protective Services after the teen told someone.

Stokes faces forcible sex abuse charges, which are second-degree felonies.
