(KSL News) An early-morning fire destroys a car sitting in the owner's driveway.
Neighbors in the upstairs apartment of the building at 400 West 7800 South were the first people to smell the smoke. They alerted the owner, who called 911.
When crews arrived, the fire had started to spread to the garage. However, a firewall between the garage and the house helped keep it from spreading.
The car is a total loss.
No word yet on how the fire started.
