CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- A Cedar City man charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of his wife at an apartment in 2009 will undergo a psychological evaluation.

The attorney for Tristan Jared Lamoreaux said in 5th District Court Tuesday that a trial won't take place for at least three months.

Lamoreaux has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge, a count of third-degree felony possession of a firearm by a restricted person and class A misdemeanor failure to stop at the command of a law enforcement officer.

The 25-year-old was charged in August in the death of 19-year-old Misty Lamoreaux. Court documents said an autopsy found she died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
