Shelley Osterloh ReportingYou've heard about online dating services that help singles meet one another. Well now you can sit at home and watch other singles on TV through a new service.

Comcast has a program called on-demand where you call up shows when you want to. Now you can use the on-demand option to see people talk about themselves and what they're looking for in a partner. The people are spread all over the country, but starting tomorrow, Comcast teams up with LDS Promise dating service to help Utah singles get to know each other.

Voice: "What is the number one thing you are looking for in a person to date?" Kiera: "I want somebody that had little bit of drive to them, and exciting, and know what he wants out of life."

Kiera is a student at the University of Utah, and already a member of the dating service, LDS promise.com. She says it's hard to relax and talk about herself, but hopes adding her video profile to Comcast's Dating on Demand will help her meet new people.

Kiera: "It's important to do because I need to prove to myself that I'm proud to be a single woman in Salt Lake City."

Richard: "I describe myself as outgoing. Who wouldn't?"

Richard is a computer programmer who says it can be tough to find people you really want to date.

Richard: "I'm always online so I wanted to find a way to meet new people with the same values as me. And personality as me. So that's why I got enrolled in LDS Promise, hopefully it'll work."

But you don't have to be a member of the LDS Promise dating service to have your profile shown, like Jamie, a psychology major.

Jamie: "They can see who you really are, and understand your personality. Get in contact with you if they want to."

People who watch the profiles and see someone they'd like to know more about can log on to LDS promise. You get seven days free access to the website. After that it costs 40 dollars for three months. Comcast does not charge for the service and already broadcasts single's profiles from around the country.

Ray Child, PR Comcast: "It's been one of our most watched segments. We get tens of thousands of people watching these segments, so we thought it would be a great idea to have local singles participate in dating on demand."

If you would like to tape your own profile for on-demand, you can do that and send it to LDS Promise. Or you can attend an LDS Promise/Comcast social event and record one there.

As for viewing videos, any Comcast customer can do that. But don't try it yet, the Utah dating on demand doesn't go on air until tomorrow.
