(KSL News) Criminal charges have been filed against five people in the death of a Coalville teen who died of alcohol poisoning.

Prosecutors have charged 23-year-old Rita Palmer with one count of supplying alcohol to a minor. Court documents say she bought a half-gallon of whiskey for a teen identified as "B.J.K."

Meanwhile, 20-year-old Abram Kenter has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, giving false information to a police officer and underage alcohol consumption.

Last month a Summit County Sheriff's deputy pulled over a car and found 17-year-old Joe Hunter's body in the back seat. He was unresponsive.

The deputy tried to give him CPR, but Hunter was already dead.

Palmer and Kenter will appear in court Friday.
