(KSL News) -- Work started a little differently for 25-hundred employees of dozens of local businesses. Instead of heading to the office, they headed-out to volunteer.
Today is the United Way day of Caring, where instead of sitting behind a desk, employees will go help out in the community. But first they had a hearty breakfast at the Gateway.

Once breakfast was over, volunteers headed out to do everything from building roads, to reading to under privileged kids.
