JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas State football coach Blake Anderson has announced the hiring of Buster Faulkner as the Red Wolves' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Faulkner spent the past five seasons as an assistant at Middle Tennessee, the past four seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach after taking over play-calling duties midway through his first season.

He replaces Walt Bell at ASU after Bell accepted the offensive coordinator's post at Maryland.

Faulkner previously coached at Murray State, Central Arkansas and Valdosta State.
