SALT LAKE CITY — The October chaos got started early this year with an overtime loss for undefeated Skyridge and a second straight loss for Box Elder last week.

The madness continues in the final week of the regular season, with region titles and undefeated seasons on the line. Check out the final Top 20+1 of the season below:

1. Corner Canyon (8-1, 4-0 6A Region 2)

The Chargers made quick work of usual Region 2 powerhouse Bingham last week with 21 points in the first quarter and a 38-3 win to set up a region-clinching regular season finale against Herriman at home to finish 5-0 in Region 2.

2. American Fork (8-1, 3-1 6A Region 3)

The Cavemen can take Region 3 with a win over Skyridge at home next week in a blockbuster battle to end the regular season.

3. Timpview (7-2, 5-0 5A Region 7)

The Thunderbirds closed out their regular season with a 42-20 win over Maple Mountain, their fifth win in a row.

4. Pleasant Grove (8-1, 3-1 6A Region 3)

The Vikings grabbed the headlines last week, taking down undefeated Skyridge 34-31 in overtime to complete the drastic turnaround from a 1-10 season in 2021.

5. Skyridge (8-1, 3-1 6A Region 3)

The final undefeated team in 6A found itself on the wrong end of last week's big upset, but the Falcons can reclaim some momentum heading into the postseason play with a regular season finale at Region 3 leader American Fork.

6. Lehi (7-2, 2-2 6A Region 3)

The Pioneers got their second region win over Lone Peak after starting their inaugural 6A region slate 0-2. They have a chance to get above .500 in the state's toughest region with a regular season finale at Pleasant Grove.

7. Mountain Ridge (7-1, 3-1 6A Region 2)

The Sentinels still have just one loss on the season and can complete their breakout season next week at perennial powerhouse Bingham.

8. Crimson Cliffs (8-1, 5-0 4A Region 9)

The Mustangs dropped 63 points on Pine View last week and can finish 6-0 in region play with a win at home against Dixie this week.

9. Davis (8-1, 4-0 Region 1)

The battle for Region 1 comes down to a final week matchup between Davis and Syracuse after the Darts narrowly escaped Farmington with a 36-35 win last week.

10. Syracuse (7-2, 3-1 Region 1)

The Titans have proven to be mortal with a pair of losses on the season, but can go out on top next week with a neighborly clash with Davis to end the regular season.

11. Park City (9-0, 6-0 4A Region 10)

The Miners are one of of just five remaining undefeated teams in the state of Utah and can finish the regular season 10-0 by taking care of business at home against Springville.

12. West (5-3, 5-0 5A Region 6)

The Panthers defeated crosstown rival East 33-16 last week and can clinch the Region 6 title with a home win over Brighton to end the season.

13. Sky View (9-0, 5-0 4A Region 11)

The Bobcats are Region 11 champs and finished their regular season undefeated, now setting their eyes on a postseason run out of the north.

14. Brighton (7-2, 4-1 5A Region 6)

The Bengals took a break from region play to welcome Arizona's Queen Creek, who they defeated handily, 45-21.

15. Roy (7-2, 5-1 5A Region 5)

The Royals are the surprise of Region 5 and control their own fate at the top of the region heading into the regular season finale against Northridge at home.

16. Bingham (4-5, 3-1 6A Region 2)

The Miners were humbled at the hands of Corner Canyon last week after managing just 3 points. They hope to hold off the surging Sentinels of Mountain Ridge in the regular season finale.

17. Springville (7-2, 4-1 5A Region 7)

The Red Devils have won four in a row since laying an egg against Timpview and can spoil Park City's undefeated season next week.

18. Box Elder (7-2, 4-2 5A Region 5)

The Bees let Region 5 slip through their fingers with back-to-back losses, and it won't get any easier against a Bonneville team that has won five of its last seven games.

19. Provo (7-2, 5-0 4A Region 8)

The Bulldogs can run the table in Region 8 with a final road trip to Mountain View to finish the regular season.

20. Lone Peak (3-6, 1-3 6A Region 3)

Fifth place in Region 3 might get you a region title in other parts of the state; but for now, the Knights have to settle for holding Westlake winless in region play as motivation in the regular season finale.

Plus-1. Woods Cross (6-3, 4-2 5A Region 5)

The Wildcats handed Box Elder its second loss of region play last week and have emerged as one of the many competitive teams in a crowded Region 5 this year.

Ben Smith-Mecham accounted for 11 of the Wildcats' 17 points against the Bees with a rushing touchdown, two extra points and a field goal. They welcome Bountiful in what should be an exciting final week across all of Region 5.
