Kudos for a couple of former Cougars...

While Steve Sarkisian now joins Kyle Whittingham and Mike Leach as high-profile BYU graduates in the FBS head coaching ranks, former BYU running back Kalani Sitake is making his own move up the coaching ranks.

It's been announce that Sitake is the new Defensive Coordinator at Utah, and remains on the staff with former BYU wideout and current Utah receivers coach Aaron Roderick. I am proud to count both former Cougars as friends in the coaching business, and am equally proud of both for their coaching accomplishments.

I know that Sitake in particular works hard not only for his Utes, but also to make the Cougar faithful proud that "one of theirs" is doing his best and leaving his mark in the profession. The same can be said for Roderick, who along with Sitake, represent two of the nicest guys I have been fortunate to cover.

By the way, with Sarkisian's appointment in Seattle, BYU is now tied with Alabama, Miami and Virginia in currently having "produced" the most Div. 1 head coaches.
