(KSL News) A woman was killed and four other people were critically injured in a crash tonight in Spanish Fork Canyon.

Highway Patrol troopers say a car lost control and collided with another vehicle pulling a trailer. An 18-year-old woman in the car was killed.

A medical helicopter retrieved one injured person, but an ambulance hit and bent the rotor blade of another helicopter that was waiting to carry out another victim.

That chopper couldn't fly, so a third was called in and flew the person to a hospital.

Investigators say speed was a factor, as was blowing snow and icy road conditions.
