BRIGHAM CITY, Utah (AP) -- A woman accused of stealing confidential adoption records from a Davis County courthouse says she has no interest in a plea deal.
Jill Ekstrom of North Ogden made a brief appearance Monday in court in Brigham City. Prosecutors say she stole rolls of microfilm in an attempt to sell the information to adopted children who want to find their biological parents.
Ekstrom's business of uniting people is not illegal, if both parties agree to it. She insists she didn't take the microfilm. She'll return to court March 31.
