(KSL News) A woman who testified she spoke to a murder suspect an hour after he allegedly shot and killed a Salt Lake business owner is now being accused of lying.
Cassandra Matern testified in court that her boyfriend, Miguel Mateos Martinez, took her car last August and then called her later to tell her he had shot Faviola Hernandez during a robbery.
However, the Salt Lake Tribune reports that a search warrant issued yesterday states Matern was actually in the getaway car at the time of the shooting and admitted so to police.
Matern has not yet been charged in the case. Martinez is still being sought by police.
