Utah tells residents to check pantries for beans

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Check your pantries. That's the message from the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food. Officials are advising people to check for large cans of green beans and garbanzo beans distributed by New Era Canning of Michigan.

There's potential for food poisoning.

The cans weigh more than 6 pounds and may be 5 years old. If cans are found, people are advised to put them in double bags and throw them away.
