LAYTON, Utah (AP) -- Students raising money for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah are expected to triple the amount of money they raised last year.

Last year, Utah students donated $42,000 to the foundation.

The foundation's spokeswoman says she's expecting that figure to jump to $145,000 this year.

Three Salt Lake City high schools competed this year to raise the most money for the foundation. Each high school raised more than $22,000, including one that raised more than $40,000.
