(KSL News) Three teenagers now face serious charges following a nasty prank at a Sandy convenience store.
The teens are accused of putting a bag full of human waste into a microwave. The contents eventually exploded, ruining the oven and forcing the store to close.
"Three juveniles were taken into custody. They were all released back to their parents, but charges are being filed against them for third-degree felonies," explained Sgt. Victor Quezada, spokesman for the Sandy Police Department.
Quezada says all three confessed to the crime. He says surveillance pictures released to the media helped detectives find the boys.
