Special Olympics torch travels through Salt Lake

(KSL News) Law enforcement officers and athletes gathered at the State Capitol today to join in on the final leg of the Special Olympics torch relay.

The torch is traveling through Salt Lake County streets on its way to BYU for tomorrow's opening ceremonies. Over 1,000 officers have carried the torch since the relay began earlier this month.

The torch run has raised money from nearly every Utah county for the 2,200 Special Olympics athletes in the state.
