SOUTH JORDAN — One man is in extremely critical condition Saturday after being struck by a vehicle late Friday night.
The collision occurred about 10:30 p.m. at S. Grandville Avenue and Daybreak Parkway.
According to South Jordan Police Sgt. Sam Winkler, the pedestrian may have crossed the street against the signal when he was struck by a car traveling eastbound in the right lane. He was transported by ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center.
Winkler said the department does not suspect the driver was impaired at this time, but said that is "still something we will look at." The department's crash investigation team was investigating the scene, he said.
