Restaurants ramping up for Super Bowl

Sarah Dallof reportingLess than 18 hours, that's how long you have to get everything in place for your perfect Super Bowl party. And that includes food.

While a lot of people will be at Super Bowl parties for the game, there will be others there for the commercials and, of course, the food. Football and pizza are the perfect Super Bowl combination, according to thousands of Utahns.

Jerremy Gamble, assistant manager at the Pie Pizzeria, said, "It really is one of the biggest pizza days of the year. I would say it's the busiest."

The Pie Pizzeria is doubling its Sunday drivers and cooks tomorrow to handle demand that starts when the game bell dings.

Gamble says, "We got two separate rushes, before the game and then halftime."

Customers now stop in days before to order and confirm delivery and start cheering on their teams.

At Iggy's Sports Grill, they're a little more secretive about their favorites. Manager Scott Fulps say, "I have to remain impartial." And that's a good idea. Iggy's is expecting up to 300 customers tomorrow. Fulps just wants to make sure everyone has a good time. "We've been planning for about a month now to make sure we have everything."

His picks for the perfect Super Bowl snacks are nothing but the classics. "Nachos is a great Super Bowl food, Philly cheese steak is a great Super Bowl food," he says.

Both restaurants share the same advice: plan ahead. At Iggy's you'll need a reservation, and it's best to order ahead at the Pie tomorrow.
