(KSL News) The U.S. Department of Education denied Utah's request to waive testing requirements for two school districts.
The state wanted to replace No Child Left Behind Act student testing in Juab and Sevier school districts with a new pilot program.
Department officials claim the pilot program fails to meet federal testing requirements and needs to be peer reviewed before it can be used.
