Report: Four of State's 10 Warmest Years Happened in Last Seven

OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- According to a new report, four of the state's 10 hottest years have happened since 2000.

The numbers come from the U.S. Public Interest Research Group's global warming report, which uses temperatures recorded in the last 30 years.

The report also shows that this year may be on track to replace 2003 as Utah's second hottest year on record.

The group says the numbers are proof that global warming has begun and changes need to be made to curb the problem.

Utah Republican Rep. Rob Bishop says he doesn't place much stock in the report. He says using just three decades of information to analyze something as large as the global climate is shortsighted.
