SALT LAKE CITY — The future Spanish Fork Temple will have two golden spires.
An exterior rendering of the temple was released by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Monday.
The temple was the final temple announced by President Russell M. Nelson during the April 2025 general conference. It will be one of 32 temples in Utah, including three others that have just been announced, two that are under construction and the Ephraim Utah Temple, which is scheduled for an open house in September.
The Spanish Fork Utah Temple will be built on an 8.7-acre site at the corner of 100 South and 2550 East, across the street from Maple Mountain High School.
Previously, the church announced the temple will be a multistory building, 80,000 square feet, which makes it bigger than the Orem Utah Temple and about 1,000 square feet smaller than the Lindon Utah Temple.
The church's statement said Latter-day Saints worship in the temple to feel God's love and peace, to learn more about God's plan for his children and the gospel of Jesus Christ, to make promises with God and with one's husband or wife, and to participate in sacred ordinances that, through the power of Jesus Christ, allow families to be united in this life and the next.
