(KSL News) A Utah County man will be arraigned today on charges connected to the death of his young son.
Jason Putnam is charged with aggravated murder. In June of last year, he called 911 claiming his 20-month-old son had fallen and was injured. However, police soon realized the child's injuries were much too serious to have been sustained in a fall.
Officers claim that, when confronted, Putnam admitted to beating his son so he would "grow up to be a man."
If convicted, Putnam could face the death penalty.
