SALT LAKE CITY — Police issued an Amber Alert on Wednesday night for three Salt Lake City children they say might have been taken to South Dakota.
The alert was issued after the three children — 3-month-old Fermin Figueroa-Peralta, 6-year-old Francisco Martinez-Peralta and 8-year-old Kristian Martinez-Peralta — were not surrendered to the Utah Division of Child and Family Services after a court ordered their mother to surrender them to DCFS protective custody.
Police believe their mother, Conchita Leona Peralta, 27, and 33-year-old Fermin Figueroa-Luque could have taken the children to an area in or around North Eagle Butte, South Dakota. Peralta could be driving a black Dodge Challenger with Utah license plate G919NX.
Fermin is a boy with brown hair and eyes. Francisco is 4 feet, 3 inches tall and has brown hair and eyes, and Kristian is a girl with brown hair and brown eyes and is 4 feet, 5 inches tall.
"Utahns will not receive the traditional Wireless Emergency Alert on their mobile devices because the three children are likely already out of state, based on the investigation," police said in a press release. The alert was also issued in South Dakota.
Anyone who sees them should call 911 immediately.
